ONE STEP AT A TIME
Let’s make the
first step a little easier.
You don’t need all the answers before you ring. Tell us how things are now and what you’d like help with. We’ll take it from there.
- 01
Let’s have a conversation.
Call or email us. Tell us about yourself or the person you’re calling about, where they live and what’s got harder. If you live further away, we can start by phone.
- 02
We get to know you.
We talk through needs, routines and preferences, then arrange to meet so we can see what would help day to day.
- 03
A plan shaped around you.
Together we agree what help you’ll get and when. We’ll explain availability and costs before you decide anything.
BEFORE WE TALK
Start with what
matters to you.
No need for a perfect list. These are useful things to have in mind when you ring.
- Where you, or the person you’re calling about, live
- Which parts of the day have got harder, like mornings or meals
- What you’d like to keep doing for yourself
- Help you already get from family, friends or neighbours
- When you’d like care to start
- Any questions about visits, availability and costs
IT’S NATURAL TO HAVE QUESTIONS
A little more
peace of mind.
A few things people often ask.
For anything else, just ring.
Will I still have a say in my care?
Yes. It’s your home and your life. We talk about what matters to you and plan your support together, so you keep doing what you can and get help with the rest.
Will the same carer visit each time?
You may see more than one person from our local team. We aim to keep that team small, so the faces stay familiar, while still covering holidays and sickness.
Can you help after a stay in hospital?
Yes. We offer support while you recover, for a few weeks or for longer. Ring us to talk about what’s needed and our current availability.
How much will my care cost?
It depends on how much help you need and how often we visit. Talk to us about your situation and we’ll explain the options and costs before you decide anything.
Do you support younger adults too?
Yes. We support adults with a range of disabilities and health conditions, as well as older people. We talk through needs first to make sure we can help.
How long are care visits?
Visits are planned around what you need help with. Ask us which visit lengths we can offer at the moment, and what would suit you.
I live a long way from my parent. Can I still arrange care?
Yes. The first conversation can happen by phone or email. With your parent’s agreement, you can be involved in planning their care wherever you live. Ask us how we keep families in touch.
WE’RE HERE TO LISTEN
